    refinance time..

    BK7 in September (bitter Sweet)
    car crunched down to market value by refinancing with a bk loan at a stndard 24% (ouch) - Principle and monthly are down but ...

    equifax says my fico is about 650.. so ... I am thinking i could refi for much less.. one prob.. BK on my record

    I don't want to just start applying and tarnish my CR with credit checks

    does anyone happen to know of a bank that "Usually" is refi/BK friendly?

    You may try Capital One. You will probably have to put some money down though. Cap One is BK friendly and approved us for a car loan just last month but they do require a down payment in most cases.
    4/09 Converted to a Ch 7 due to loss in dh's income
    5/09 UST now involved no idea what happens next
    7/09 UST has decided to withdraw his motion to dismiss!
    7/27/09 DISCHARGED!!!

        I was told by Capital One that they will not refinance a loan.
        Am I wrong here, or do they require some money in their direction to lower the rate and refinance?
