    Capital One Blank Check question...

    Hey all,
I was going to apply online for Capital One Blank Check, but wanted to ask those who have used the service if a downpayment is required?

I have used this program once. I still have the "bank draft" check still here as I paid off that loan and for some reason, they returned the "cashed" check along with the Title to me.

I did not make a down payment. I was not required to make a down payment. Most of the "blank check" programs (HSBC, Drive.COM, Capitol One, RoadLoans), don't require a down payment. You just need to spend no more than the "maximum" that is printed just below the dollar amount box (that you write the check out for). The maximum check amount is also in your documentation.

Please note: that there are restrictions on the type of car you buy. For used cars, it can't have more than 70,000 (or so) and can't be more than 5-6 model years old. For new cars, they use to have restrictions on Kia. You also can't have an LTV more than 115% in most cases. Please check the package provided with the check or ask Capitol One during the approval process what the restrictions are.
