I am discharged from a chp 7 for about 7 months now. My mom took out the loan for me for my car around that time. Now she needs to have me take over the loan etc so she can have her debt to income ratio lowered for a mortgage. Problem is, I cant find anyone to do a person to person loan. I have been approved for a dealership loan from roadloans, but I cant find a private party lender....Help!

Getting financing right now with a bk is tough. Have you checked the 722 redemption (http://www.722redemption.com/) yet? The interest rate is high.
Another option you might consider is selling the vehicle, if you can sell for the outstanding debt and getting one yourself for cash (you know there are some decent vehicles for less than $3500 out there now).
Another possible option might be to prove to your mom's lender that you have been making the payments all along since you got the vehicle, if you have been making them. Many times the underwriter will accept the proof (copy of bank statement showing you are making the payment directly to the lender). Sometimes the lender wants to see this in place for 12 months before they will consider it. Have your mom talk with the underwriter or her loan officer to see what will work.Filed CH 7 9/30/2008
