Is it possible to refinance a Capital One blank check down the road

Just got approved for 20k @ 15.35 72 mos... It's not great, but it's something. My BK discharged 05/05, and I've been trying to rebuild since, but I had some issues with student loans.

Assuming I use the check, am I locked into 15.3? Do I have to switch lenders to get a better rate, or will Cap. One lower the APR if I pay on time?

    Thanks

You typically need to switch lenders, but keep in mind, (and there are several posts that discuss this), car refinances typically end up costing you more money in the long run than simply paying off the existing loan (when you factor in the additional costs and the extension of the term of the loan on the refinance).

The only way a refi works for you from a financial perspective is if you refi after completing 36 payments, cut the rate at least in half, the term of the new loan is no longer than 36 months, and the fees are minimal.

Ok, so a solid 3 years of 15.35..

Are there recommended refinance lenders friendly to BK?

Cap One DOES NOT refi at all. Been there tried that. But ended up using Chrisitian Community to refi
