Here is my situation, we discharged in 08/07 and have a Traiblazer that we are upside down on and the gas is killing us. 4 years left to payoff. We did not reaffirm it in the bk, and was wondering what would happen if we just let it go back to the bank/dealer. Would this adversely affect our credit score. Any help would be appreciated.

Our Ford truck was like that, we didn't reaffirm on our attorneys advice...and the Ford Credit lists it on our Credit Report as 0 balance incl in bankruptcy. We were thinking of getting rid of the truck because we need more room...our attorney told we could and we were not responsible for any remaining balance. So I would talk to your attorney just to make sure.Filed 12/31/07

We were thinking of buying something different with better mpg, my wife applied for Capitol One's blank check and was approved for $37,500 @ 8.15% for up to 72 months. When we found out what they would give us on trade for Trailblazer we figured we might be better off to surrender it and use our "blank check" to obtain something new and more efficient. Any more thoughts BK Forum?
Thanks all for any help.

The only advice I can give you is talk with your attorney about this.
