Let me see if i have this right, i don't get some chick knocked up with a few kids, so no tax deductions for me. Yeah, that sounds fair to me. And then, if i buy a new home, i get hit with a $6,000 "impact fee" for the public schools, even though i don't have any kids using up these precious resources. You should thank us more responsible people who don't tax our public resources with kids and then look for handouts. Your welcome.

And i'll take my $23,000 supercar with an "undisclosed" interest rate, thats the least i deserve for putting up with people with kids.
It sounds to me like you are in the totally wrong forum and board since it appears you do not need any help or advice concerning bankruptcy but need to vent on several of your problems/issues. Please note my second daughter went to a private college on a 4 year scholarship but which did not cover all of her room and board - we covered that and had to do without a few things to ensure she had a good education. Not a penney of your money went to her education and we pay school and property taxes every year to cover everyone's children who go to public school in our district including ours who went through when they were younger. So if your kid went here to school in our district, we and others would be paying for it. Someone paid taxes for you to go to school also so remember that, unless you did not go, and if you went to private school, your parents paid for you. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors and thank you for not passing on more children with your attitude.

As for my automobile not being a "sound investment", show me one that is oh all-knowing wise one. I guess if it isn't a "wise investment" we should all be riding around in horse and buggy. Yeah, i'm sure thats your mode of transportation.

Sounds to me like some of you have a bit of sour grapes. It's not my fault you live in a 1-bedroom loft and drive around in a 1987 Honda Accord.

In life, there are winners and losers. Don't be a loser.

Hmmm...let's see who is the loser? The ink on your Chapter 7 discharge is not even dry yet and you are ready to go $23k in debt for a used vehicle...

In 28 months, I will be completely debt-free. The question that you should ask yourself is how much more debt will you have? Again, who is the loser?

It's not the fact that you are buying a used car (actually, I typically recommend that people buy cars that are 4+ years old), but its the way your buying it, your thought process behind your decision, and the car that your buying that represents poor decision making.

        1. Mustang Cobra has one of the highest cost of ownership: Fuel, Maintence, Insurance, etc.
        2. You are thinking of the car as a "reward"...that you deserve regardless of any longterm consequences, that is the VERY thought process that gets most people into debt.
        3. You are buying using 100% credit.

The town home is a whole other issue.
