Not really sure where to put this, so I put it here by default.
I did not reaffirm my BOA auto loan when I filed BK, but I continued to make payments. After my discharge, I called BOA and asked them if they would repossess my car if I continued to make payments. The rep was surprisingly direct and flatly said no and that as long as I am current on payments, there would be no problems.
That was about 2 years ago, and I paid my car off this month. 7 days later, I had a letter from BOA saying my car was paid off and to expect the title soon. 4 days after that, I got the clear title in the mail.
Not reaffirming the car caused me no problems whatsoever, and I have a clear title in my hand right now.
Just want to let others know that it really did work out fine to not reaffirm my auto loan. Reaffirming is rarely the right choice IMHO.
