What an incredibly exhausting day! Found out that my doctor has not received his "credentials" for our insurance company (he's new to the medical group) yet, so he's not a "preferred" provider until some time in February!! Was supposed to have surgery on Jan 19th, now it's scheduled for March 5th!!! That's 7 weeks from today! So far they haven't paid him for any of my visits, I really hope they don't refuse to pay him.
I was hoping to have more time between surgery and filing, but now it looks like they'll be pretty close together.
I started putting together all the info that I will need to give to the attorney - I'll call him Larry (cuz that's his name ). Went online to all 10 cc accounts - I was interested to see that 9 of the 10 accounts still let me access my statements online! WAMU was the exception, but they've already referred our file to collections. So I downloaded whatever statements were available, so I will have at least 6 months for each cc available if necessary - some I have two years.
Larry wants the standard stuff, 6 months bank statements, 60 days pay-stubs, 2 years tax returns, etc. Started filling out the paperwork - fun, fun, fun! and then got distracted by the stinking insurance company. I think the hardest part will be listing/valuing our assets, so I'm off to search the forums...
