So we finally filed our Chapter 7 on June 20th. It was so overwhelming going over that petition that I hope we didn't miss anything. Now we just have to focus on following a budget although we haven't officially drawn one up yet. We'll have our schedule j to work with.

We are also focusing on getting our lives back together. The house had been such a mess when we were at the height of our stress. We took a pile of junk to the dump last week and we'll be making quite a few more trips. We have a all-in-one dump where you can recycle stuff, put stuff in a reusable hut for other people to use, you can donate clothes there and then regular household or construction waste and hazardous materials.

Yesterday we started cleaning up our yard and we are going to budget in some grass seed and some perennial flowers just to make it feel nicer.

Nervous about our 341 meeting which is August 6th because our attorney said we are to bring nothing with us but our drivers licenses and social security cards. He doesn't want the trustee to get any documents from us that he hasn't seen first.

Oh and we have our financial class on July 8th so that will be done and out of the way.

The only caveat we have is an interest in my husbands mother's estate (she passed in January 2007) and if it isn't resolved then I presume it could delay the closing of our case.
