Strange request from Ch7 trustee
We had our 341 meeting and the trustee asked us and another petitioner for documents relating to their home loans. We have 2 properties, the one we live in is in foreclosure and the other one our parents live in was also included in our bankruptcy filing. He wants us to provide loan applications, deeds of trust and escrow documents for all loans and refinances that have ever been done on these properties. There is no equity on either property. Why would he want these? I'm worried because the information on the loan documents might not match exactly all our tax returns and bank statements. Most of the loans were done years ago. Has anyone else been asked to bring these kind of documents?Tags: None

I believe this is probably the case with you having to provide these documents. I think the trustees are trying to understand just what is going on out there with all these foreclosures and people stuck in loans they can't pay. I think they want to see the wording in the loans and the terms to decide if the mortgage companies should be investigated.
