Maybe it's because my Experian report says that my current score is 596 and also says very politely under my score: "Currently, your credit report does not show any significant positive information."
Actually, here's the deal. Most people on this board are talking about getting inundated with "pre-approved" credit card offers in the mail after discharge. I have only gotten offers from two: the despised First Premiere Bank -- one of their (3) offers was for a $175 yearly fee! No thanks! Not ever! I'll never be that desperate!
The other was, strangely enough, two offers from "Chase Ink", which is a BUSINESS card. Not only did I BK TWO Chase accounts (and they sued me and won a judgment against me), but I don't own a business.
Anyway, I want to make it clear that I don't WANT any credit cards. I just think that I must be seen as someone even the bk-friendly cards don't want.
I have, however, received several notices from car-financing companies.
